"Because I think you need an object lesson, Tanner. How does it feel to be the target instead of the arrow? How do you like being bullied?" She spoke slowly, savoring every word. "Guns are great equalizers, aren't they?" People forget all about being self righteous when they're staring down a barrel--"

"Hey, Mac--come on," he entreated, "you've been watching too many John Wayne movies."

"Drop the towel."

He shifted awkwardly. "I don't think that's a good idea."

"I do. Drop it or I'll blow you away like a piece of lint."

He untucked the towel's edge and let it slide to the ground.
